Sound Properties

Impact Sound Transmission

The method is designed to measure the impact sound transmission performance of a floor-ceiling assembly in a controlled laboratory environment.

IIC Flooring Sub-floor
67 Laminate over a 6" concrete subfloor with a suspending ceiling
74 8mm WPC over a 6" concrete subfloor with ceiling assembly

Sound Transmission Loss

The sound-insulating property of a partition element is express in terms of the sound transmission loss.

STC Flooring Sub-floor
63 Laminate over a 6" concrete subfloor with a suspending ceiling
61 8mm WPC over a 6" concrete subfloor with ceiling assembly

Glad we went with this underlayment as it installed easy and lightweight. We decided to go with this underlayment than the other competitor FloorMuffler.
